German Wines Are In!

Order now before we sell out...

The 2004 Vintage for German Rieslings was nothing short of fantastic, already considered a great vintage on a par with the phenomenal 1975.  The quality is uniformly excellent for each of the various winegrowing regions, Mosel Saar Ruwer, Rheingau, Pflaz, etc.  The wines are characterized by ripe, purely focused fruit, with lots of flowers, spice and minerality, all topped off with a healthy dose vibrant acidity.  These wines are good now but will cellar for many years to come so don’t hesitate to buy some for the future.  We have selected many of our favorites, and some new gems, from the amazing Terry Thiese Collection and other importers.  We have also included some of Robert Parker’s scores along with Terry’s notes.  If dealing with German wine terminology is confusing, (It makes me bleary-eyed, FR), let us put together an assortment of wine for you from different producers, regions, and price points.  Remember, Riesling is a wonderful holiday wine, whether as a gift or at the Christmas feast, so we invite you to jump in and experience the sublime pleasure of a perfectly chilled glass of German Riesling.  (Note:  The J.J. Prum wines have not been rated yet but you can count on them being absolutely breathtaking!)

Cheers,
Frank Rothstein and the Gang at PRIMA Vini
